Elena Anfosso has been appointed Campari Group’s new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective in July 2026.

She will be taking over from former Chief Human Resources Officer David Souperbiet, who left the company in November.

Elena comments: “I am excited to join Campari Group, a company I always admired for its unique and distinctive culture. The Group’s strong legacy, iconic brands and clear ambitions for the future closely align with my own commitment to building people‑first organisations.

HR leadership experience

Elena holds extensive leadership experience across multinational consumer goods and healthcare companies – with her career spanning across more than two decades.

According to Campari Group, she brings a strong track record of shaping global HR strategies, leading large scale transformations and automation initiatives and driving cultural change across diverse markets to the team.

She most recently held the position of Global HR Lead for Transformation at British American Tobacco (BAT), where she has worked for more than seven years – initially joining as an HR and Inclusion Officer for South Europe.

Before joining BAT, she worked as an HR Director at GSK Consumer healthcare, where her role was to build a high performing and diverse organisation and drive culture transformation towards innovation, performance and trust.

Earlier in her career, she held marketing and commercial leadership roles at companies such as Novartis, SC Johnson and Auchan.

“We are delighted to welcome Elena Anfosso as our new Chief Human Resources Officer,” says Simon Hunt, CEO of Campari Group. “She brings extensive international expertise and a strong track record in leading global HR transformation, balancing culture change, automation and organisational effectiveness.

“Her leadership will be a key asset as we continue to evolve our people strategy ensuring it is fully aligned with Campari Group’s long-term vision and growth ambitions.’

Building a performance-oriented culture

In her new role as Chief Human Resources Officer for Campari Group, Elena will be responsible for its global people agenda, driving growth in line with the company’s strategy.

This, Campari Group says, will help strengthen its culture and commitment to fostering a dynamic and inclusive culture where its employees – referred to as ‘Camparistas’ – can play a key role in the group’s success.

Following a year marked by the challenge of US tariffs, Campari Group has said it is targeting single-digit organic growth – reporting 2.9% organic sales growth in the first quarter of 2026.

“In 2025, we navigated complexity with resilience and delivered solid organic growth in both top-line and profitability while sharpening our strategic direction.” Simon notes.

“Our team of Camparistas ensured our brands outperformed and gained market share in nearly all markets globally with growth across 24 countries and all of our brand houses.

“Strong business momentum and accelerated deleverage one year ahead of plan allowed us to step-up our dividend payout to further enhance shareholder returns, while we retain our financial flexibility.”
