Tech Mahindra and UKG have formed a global partnership to deploy AI-driven workforce management solutions for small and mid-market enterprises

Tech Mahindra and UKG have formed a global partnership to deploy AI-driven workforce management for small and mid-market enterprises across multiple sectors.

Tech Mahindra will implement the UKG Workforce Operating Platform for its own employees and expand its UKG services practice to support global enterprises. The partnership targets organisations in North America across IT, retail, manufacturing and services sectors, with plans to extend reach into additional markets.

The collaboration addresses growing demand for AI-driven workforce solutions in complex labour environments. Tech Mahindra operates in more than 90 countries and will deliver solutions designed to accelerate workforce efficiency whilst reducing operational complexity for frontline teams.

The UKG platform uses workforce data and what the company describes as people-first AI. The system allows organisations to optimise frontline operations through intelligent scheduling, predictive analytics and automated compliance management. The platform integrates with existing enterprise systems to provide unified workforce visibility.

Sumit Kumar Popli, President Technology, Media and Entertainment Business at Tech Mahindra, says: "As organisations navigate increasingly dynamic workforce environments, they need intelligent and scalable solutions that improve agility, enhance employee experience and drive stronger business outcomes. Our partnership with UKG brings together deep transformation expertise and advanced workforce innovation to help enterprises address frontline workforce challenges with greater confidence."

Platform deployment and ROI

Tech Mahindra will deploy UKG within its own organisation as part of the partnership. The company aims to use its global scale to transform hire-to-retire processes across its workforce of more than 145,000 employees.

The internal deployment will serve as a proof point for enterprise customers evaluating workforce transformation initiatives. Tech Mahindra plans to leverage insights from its own implementation to develop industry-specific deployment frameworks and accelerators.

The partnership could help customers achieve enhanced adoption and return on investment through structured change management and technical integration support. Tech Mahindra and UKG have worked together for a decade on enterprise service and support, building expertise in complex multi-country deployments.

The expanded partnership will tap into UKG's AI capabilities to accelerate recruiting and enhance onboarding experiences. The platform addresses areas from payroll integrity to talent mobility and workforce health, with particular focus on reducing administrative burden for HR teams and improving employee self-service capabilities.

Tech Mahindra will provide implementation services including system integration, data migration, custom workflow development and ongoing managed services. The company's consulting teams will work with customers to identify workforce pain points and design solutions that address specific operational requirements.
