LVMH has appointed Agnès Pinel as its new Chief Human Resources Officer of Parfums Christian Dior and LVMH Beauty Division, effective June 1.

Currently Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Parfums Christian Dio, Agnès will retain oversight of human resources for this sector in her new role, while also expanding her scope to the LVMH Beauty Division.

This will involve strengthening the consistency and effectiveness of the HR function across various fashion houses within the group, helping to support their transformation to encourage sustainable growth.

Commenting on her appointment, Véronique Courtois, President and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and the LVMH Beauty Division, says: “It is with great pleasure that Agnès and I will continue our partnership at Parfums Christian Dior and now across the Division. I am convinced of her ability to orchestrate the necessary transformations.

“Her in-depth cosmetics industry expertise and her knowledge of our talents represent a major strategic asset for our future.”

Luxury people leadership experience

Agnès first joined LVMH in 2020 as Global Human Resources Director at the luxury perfume, cosmetics, and skincare house Guerlain. She then progressed to the role of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Parfums Christian Dior.

“Agnès has been part of our Group HR leadership team for several years now, and I am delighted to see her expand her responsibilities,” says Maud Alvarez-Pereyre, LVMH Group Chief Human Resources Officer. “I am confident that she will successfully support the transformation of the LVMH Beauty Division, its organisations and its teams.”

Before joining LVMH, she spent more than 15 years at L'Oréal – first as an HR Manager, before progressing to the Human Resources Director for Prestige and Collections.

Leadership changes

LVMH’s Beauty Division has undergone significant changes as of late.

In February, Véronique was appointed Chairman and CEO of the division, replacing Stéphane Rinderknech, who left the company to “pursue new personal projects.”

The group’s HR leadership has also seen some changes, with Clare de Coincy being appointed CHRO of Moët Hennessy. She has already played a key role in the development of the group’s HR strategy across several brands – such as Thélios, Cheval Blanc and Métiers d’Art – to design and implement HR strategy and strengthen the brands’ employee value proposition.

“Claire brings extensive human resources experience, most recently as CHRO at LVMH Holdings & Other activities,” Moët Hennessy shared on LinkedIn. “Her leadership will be instrumental in nurturing our culture and developing our people and organisational capabilities to support our long-term goals.”

Reorganisation of LVMH group

Agnès takes on her new role as the wider LVMH group goes through a streamlining of its portfolio.

Following weakening luxury consumer demand, the group has made the decision to sell Marc Jacobs to WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group.

The sale is expected to close by late 2026, and aligns with the group’s strategic focus on strengthening its position within the core luxury sectors, while divesting non-core assets – focusing instead on its major brands, such as Louis Vuitton and Dior.

LVMH has owned Marc Jacobs for close to three decades.
