Schneider Electric Appoints Chief of Staff to India CHRO

Schneider Electric has appointed Ashveen Kaur as its new Chief of Staff to its Chief Human Resources Officer for India.
Ashveen, who first joined the company in 2022, is set to play a key role in the development of Schneider Electric’s workforce strategy and employee experience for its operations in India.
Commenting on the appointment on LinkedIn, Ashveen said there was “something exciting about starting again and stretching into spaces where you’re not the expert”.
DEI leadership expertise
Ashveen first joined Schneider Electric four years ago as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager and has progressed steadily through the company. In her previous role, she held responsibility for implementing DEI initiatives across the organisation and HR transformation.
“Four years ago, I stepped in the organisation to lead the DEI India charter for Schneider Electric, with a sense of purpose and conviction,” she said. “It became more than a role, it shaped how I thought, led, and showed up every day”
Before joining Schneider Electric, she spent five years at Tata Consultancy Services – first as an HR Business Partner for three years, then as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist.
Her appointment as Chief of Staff marks a continued investment in HR leadership for the company – which shared earlier in 2026 that it is prioritising the development of future ready talent, building an agile organisation and fostering a culture that empowers people and drives innovation.
India is also playing an “increasingly strategic role,” in Schneider Electric’s global growth, says Deepak Sharma, MD & CEO, Zone President of Greater India for the company. Leadership in the region, he says “will be critical in strengthening organisational capability, leadership depth and long-term resilience”.
HR leadership changes in India
The appointment of Ashveen follows wider leadership shifts in the company’s India operations.
Earlier in 2026, Schneider Electric appointed Niharika Mohan as its new Chief Human Resources Officer for the Greater India Zone, replacing Binu Philip, who retired from his position.
Upon her appointment, Niharika said she was “honoured,” to “take on this responsibility at a time when India is a key growth pillar for Schneider Electric globally”.
Niharika first joined Schneider Electric India in 2008 and, according to the company, has been “instrumental,” in shaping the company’s rewards function.
During her tenure, she has also led diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for the company, and helped safeguard employee wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic as CHRO for Luminous Power Technologies, a Schneider Group brand.
Most recently, she held the VP of Human Resources Role for Schneider Electric Brand Secure Power, where she led people strategy and transformation across multiple global regions – spanning India, East Asia, the Middle East, the Pacific and South America.
“Our people are at the heart of this transformation, and leadership will be the catalyst for resilience and performance,” Niharika continued. “My focus will be on building future-ready talent, deepening leadership capability and fostering a culture where every employee feels empowered to contribute and grow.”
